Each of your Moobot's built-in chat commands have their own set of unique responses and settings, which you can fully adjust to fit the needs of you and your community on Twitch.

Unlike your custom chat commands, your built-in chat commands serve a unique purpose, with their own particular use case.

Setting up a built-in chat command

Just follow these steps to activate a built-in chat command:

  1. Open up the «Commands» menu from the main menu, then open the «Built-in commands» menu from there.
  2. While in the «Built-in commands» menu activate the toggle button on the right side of the built-in chat command you want to activate.
  3. You may have to give Moobot additional permissions to activate the chat command. If so, just go through that process. Otherwise, you're all set! You can now adjust the settings of the chat command to fit your needs.

!Game chat command - Update the game on Twitch

With the «!Game» chat command, you and your Twitch mods can update your current Twitch game/category directly from Twitch chat.

Just set the game with «!Game name...», where «name...» is the game's name on Twitch.

To enable your Twitch mods to use the chat command you must activate the «Can be used by Twitch chat moderators» checkbox. Keep in mind that when activating this option, permissions from the user's permission group will not apply when using the chat command.

Note: Twitch requires you to spell the category's name exactly as Twitch spells it, which may cause some issues for you. Fortunately, you can activate the «Search for the category if the given category name was not found» checkbox, and Moobot will then attempt to find the correct game for you.

!Title chat command - Update the title on Twitch

With the «!Title» chat command, you and your Twitch mods can update your stream's title directly from Twitch chat.

You can set the title by using the chat command like «!Title New title...», where «New title...» is the full title you want to set on Twitch.

Just use the «!Commercial» chat command to run the set default commercial duration, or provide a commercial duration with «!Commercial duration», where «duration» being «30», «60», «90», «120», «150», or «180» seconds.

To enable your Twitch mods to use the chat command you must activate the «Can be used by Twitch chat moderators» checkbox. Keep in mind that when activating this option, permissions from the user's permission group will not apply when using the chat command.

!Shoutout chat command - Shout-out a Twitch streamer

This chat command lets you edit any custom chat command, not just ones with a «Text set from chat» response tag.

If you want the command to update the text of a chat command which already has response tags defined, activate the «Can still be edited when the current text of the command contains special tags» checkbox.

To enable your Twitch mods to use the «!EditCommand» chat command you must activate the «Can be used by Twitch chat moderators from chat» checkbox. Keep in mind that when activating this option, permissions from the user's permission group will not apply when using the chat command.

!Commands chat command - View the chat command list

The «!Commands» chat command will link your viewers to a public list of all your available chat commands. This is an excellent resource for them to learn what is available to them.
